Meet IDN 2014-2015 Graduate Intern Lauren Godfrey
Lauren Godfrey is a 2015 Master's in Development Practice (MDP) candidate in the Laney Graduate School. As the graduate student intern with IDN this academic year, Godfrey has helped craft IDN’s social-media outreach, including the development of the weekly electronic e-blast, and assisted with the Emory Ebola Forum and other IDN events. While part of MDP, Godfrey has worked as a researcher with Truly Living Well Center for Natural Urban Agriculture and CARE’s Pathways to Empowerment program in Malawi. Godfrey’s development interests include policymaking, as well as project design and implementation, particularly in the education and governance sectors in East and Southern Africa. This summer, Godfrey will be interning with the USAID Africa Bureau in Ethiopia.
