Undergraduate Students

The IDN-CIPA Scholarship Program, jointly run by the Institute for Developing Nations and the Center for International Programs Abroad (CIPA) offers Emory undergraduates an opportunity to pursue a development-related research interest in the context of a CIPA-approved study abroad program. Applicants who submit a successful research proposal will receive a $5,000 scholarship to support their semester abroad. Research areas include development studies, peace and conflict studies, public health, social justice, arts and culture, democracy and human rights, and gender studies. Upon their return, students present their research at a conference jointly sponsored by Emory and The Carter Center.

Interested students should contact Cornelia Lindenau at the Center for International Programs Abroad. Appointments may be made by calling 404-727-2240 or emailing cipa@emory.edu.
